Short Bio:
Diego Borro has been (since 2003) a research member of CEIT and (since 2004) part of the faculty at TECNUN, the Technological Campus of the University of Navarra in San Sebastian, Spain. He received his MS in Computer Science from the University of Basque Country (2000) and his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Navarra (2003). He was visiting scholar (2004) at Integrated Media Systems Center (IMSC) at University of Southern California (USC). Over time, his main research areas have included Computer Graphics, Virtual/Augmented Reality, Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.
From 2012 to 2016 he was head of the Simulation unit and from 2016 to 2022 head of the Vision and Robotics (V&R) research line at Intelligent Systems for Industry 4.0 group (SS4I4). Actually, he is Full Professor (Catedrático) at TECNUN and collaborating researcher at CEIT.
He has participated in 58 public and industrial research projects supervising most of them, he has already supervised 13 doctoral thesis, and he is author or co-author of about 37 papers in international journals and roughly 65 articles in international conferences. He is Member of IEEE, ACM and Eurographics societies.
