Sorretel was Grandma’s sister – often listed in records as Sara, Sura or Sora Etel.
Records for the family of Tsodik and Sara Lantzman (father: Ruvin Yosel) list the births of Ruvin (1894), Girsh (1896), Basia (1898), Shlomo (1899), Boris (1903) and Gutman (1910). In all of these the grandfather is named as Ruvin Yosel. Of these there are two corresponding death certificates – Gutman died at the age of 8 months, and Shlomo at the age of 5 months.
A later Revision list for 1919 records the couple (Tsodyk and Sora) now living in Ukmerge (north of Vilna and Kovno), and Yosef (age 28), Girsh (age 27), Boris (age 16), Fania (20) and Tsilye (17) - (possibly Yosef is Ruvin and Basia is Fania, with Tsilye born after the records above ).
Internal passports were issued:
A in 1920 for Hirsh Landsmanas (Landsman), single, bookkeeper, father: Tsodik, mother: Sara Salitaite(Salit) living at Pilies St, 1 in Ukmerge (presumably Girsh)
B in 1921 for Tsodik Lancmanas (Lansman), married, tailor, born 1875 in Kernave living at Pilies St, 1 in Ukmerge
C in 1936 for Tsile Bliumiene (Blium) nee Lancmanaite (Lantsman), accountant, from Vilnius (issued in Kaunas) father: Tsodik
In 1922 in Ukmerge Feiga-Fania (age 21) married Yakob Gordon, her parents listed as Codikas/Tsodik and Sora Etel.
I have found wedding record in 1934 of their daughter Cile (Tsile) to Leiba Bliumas, and their subsequent divorce in 1938. (Surname Lantsman also given in Lithuanian as Lancmanaite).
