Datacard XPS Card Printer Driver v7.4 for Microsoft® Windows® operating systems

The Datacard XPS Card Printer Driver uses Microsoft XPS print technology to support card production using an SD Series, CD8xx Series, CE840 and CR805 systems. The following operating Systems (latest service pack recommended) are supported with the XPS Card Printer Driver v7.4:

  • Windows 10, 32 and 64-bit
  • Windows 8.1, 32 and 64-bit
  • Windows 7 SP1, 32 and 64-bit
  • Windows Server 2016, 64-bit
  • Windows 2012 R2 Server, 64-bit
  • Windows 2008 R2 Server, 64-bit

Note: Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2003 R2 are not supported by the Card Printer Driver and cannot be installed on these operating systems.

NOTE: Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2003 R2 are not supported by this version of the Card Printer Driver. However, installation is allowed on these operating systems. Users who are seeing the issues below should upgrade to 6.3 driver on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2003 R2

Improvements and Resolved Issues

  • Resolved an issue where languages other than English were missing some text. (V6.2.476-D4)
  • Fixed an issue for some Windows Server OS configurations where the driver was unable to reliably get printer supplies information. (6.2.470-D3)
  • Fixed an issue for a specific bar code representation that did not render narrow bars properly. (6.2.464-D2)

XPS Card Printer Firmware

The Software Development Kit provides codes samples and documentation to software developers for developing Microsoft Windows applications that work with SD, CD and CE series card printers and the version 6.2 XPS card printer driver. Samples are provided as source code and compiled binaries for Visual C++, Visual C#, Visual Basic, and java. Developers who need application control of printing preferences, application control of card movement, or require data from the card must use the SDK.

NOTE: The v7.0 SDK requires XPS Card Printer Driver v7.0 or later.
