Tent House was a collaborative work by Carl Hammerschmidt and Darval Miller illustrative of Darval's and doubtless Carl's, minimalist philosophy. The author describes the design and references influences of the traditional Japanese house, the peaked roof huts on stilts of New Guineau, the mountain huts of Sweden and the tent, in which roof and wall are integral. Darval's Rochedale House 1956, is not dissimilar in its intent.
