Welcome to Darlington Ramblers

Walking is an excellent natural exercise that can help you stay healthy and live longer; control your weight; keep happy; enjoy time with friends and family; learn more about your local area and even look after the environment.

On our site you can view our walks programme, view photographs from some of our walks and find links to some useful websites. If you would like to join us on a walk please contact the walk leader (details on the walks programme).

This walks programme provides details of the Sunday walks to be led by the Darlington Ramblers Group between September 1st  2023  through to End of December 2023 .

For walkers’ guidance the walks in this programme are rated as easy, moderate, or strenuous, and range in length from 4.5 to 13 miles.

For all Sunday walks in this programme  group will meet outside the Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College on Vane Terrace, Darlington, and then share cars to the start of each walk. The departure time is generally 9.30am but please check the individual walk’s details.  If you wish to go straight to the start of a walk please contact the walk leader beforehand, to check that arrangements have not been changed.

Non-members are welcome to come on up to three walks before joining Ramblers. The national charity’s goal is to protect the ability of people to enjoy the sense of freedom and benefits of walking.
