Discussion Board Communication

Here a just a few suggestions for you when posting on the Discussion Board:

1. It is a good idea not to use ALL CAPS. IT GIVES THE IMPRESSION THAT YOU ARE SHOUTING!

2. If you disagree with someone, it is a good idea to start a message by briefly re-stating in your own words, what the other person has said. This lets the other person know that you are trying to understand them.

3. Please do not use abbreviations in your posts, such as LOL (laughing out loud) or IMHO (in my humble opinion).

4. Spelling and grammar will not count against you, unless it is a regular problem. You do have a spell check button in the discussion board area when composing your message (the ABC check mark) or you could compose your post in Word or Word Perfect, check it for errors there and then copy and paste it into the discussion board.

5. Visit this website (found as an attachment below) for a little more information about netiquette.
