USS Yorktown CVS 10
The picture on the left is of the USS Yorktown CVS 10 in the foreground with a silhouette of the USS Yorktown CV 5 which was destroyed during WW II at the battle of Midway in June 1942.The picture was created in the darkroom with some magic by Photomate J. Shriver
Lower is a picture of the 7th fleet. In the center is the Aircraft Carrier USS Yorktown where I was stationed for 18 months. My tour of duty included maneuvers off the coast of Indochina during the Vietnam War.
Above is a picture of me manning the giant video camera that captured landings and takeoffs.
