Frankel Cardiovascular Center Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship

List all college‐level science courses completed by the start of this program

Upload an Unofficial (or Official) Transcript PDF file from your current undergraduate institution

Personal Statements (Max of 500 words each)

Career Goals: Briefly explain your plans after graduation and your future career goals.
Research Interests: Briefly explain why you are interested in pursuing a summer

research fellowship.

Research Experience: Describe any relevant research experience. If the

experience comes from a laboratory course, please indicate which course(s). If you worked in a research laboratory, please indicate when, where, and the Lab Manager.

For seniors who will have graduated by the summer (only answer if applicable), please

indicate your career plans after graduation and why the fellowship would be beneficial to your career goals.

Review and select 3 areas of science you are interested in, from there, select 1 lab mentor from each category. The list is linked here. You may select the same area of science for all 3 options.

Provide names and the correct emails of at least one person who can provide you with a letter of recommendation by the application deadline. Please note that two letters are preferred. You are responsible for ensuring your letters are submitted by your recommender(s) by January 15, 2024 11:59pm (EST). The application software will notify you when your recommender accepts your request, completes their letter, and if they deny your request for a letter. If this occurs, you can request another recommendation from someone else as long as the request is submitted before the applicant deadline.

If you need financial assistance in order to participate in this program, please list your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) number in your fellowship application. If you qualify for financial assistance and are awarded a fellowship, you will be notified of the details in your offer letter. Financial assistance data will be kept confidential from reviewers. Please note that aid is limited to travel assistance to and from Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend the program.

Submit your application. Once you have completed every step of the application, you must submit your application even if we have not received the letters of recommendation. Please select the green SUBMIT button.
