Here is a link to a separate site (CICC Plant List) that holds data on observations of plants seen currently on conservation land.
The objective is to maintain a list of plants seen today to monitor diversity or lack thereof and to match the number of different plants noted by Harold B. Cushing in his nineteenth century observations - claimed to be more than 300. Note that we are also tracking whether the specific plants listed by Cushing in 1898 can still be seen today.
The list will be used in conservation land management planning and in programs to manage and expand plant diversity.
Additions, revisions, and notations are welcomed. Please let John Spencer know of any entries you have or if you wish have edit rights to the Plant List site.
All who walk on CICC land are challenged to find what is listed. If you wish to add any new plants, just let us know what you find, where and when you found it.
