We are just a few short weeks away from the Scout Skills Overnight. (Friday 10-4-2019)
SSO is a separate event from the Fall Family Campout. You will receive a separate invite for The Fall Family Camp Out very soon.
The Scout Skills Overnight occurs the Friday night before the Fall Family Campout and is limited to Pack 793 Scouts only and to the following ranks: Wolf, Bear, Webelos, and AoL. This is not a drop off event, the scouts must have a parent or guardian with them for the duration of the event.
For us to properly plan and organize this event we will need to obtain a reliable headcount as soon as possible. To that end, here is a link to our sign-up genius RSVP page. Please let us know if you will be able to attend as soon as possible. (Again, there will be a separate email and sign up genius sent out for the Fall Family Camp out which will run from Saturday evening into Sunday.)
In order for Scout Skills to run smoothly, we will all need to pitch in and help. To that end, here’s a link to the volunteer sign up sheet. Please sign up for the role(s) that you would like to take on. Feel free to reach out to me to discuss the particulars about any of these roles and what expectations there might be. Please sign up by end of day Friday September 20th for your desired role.
I’m asking that all adults participating in the overnight portion of this event please complete Youth Protection Training prior to the event. This is a very simple online training course that can be done at your convenience and does not take much time or effort to complete.
There will be a $20.00 fee for this event per scout which will be payable upon sign in at camp.
Please let us know if you or your scouts have any food allergies we should be aware of prior to the event.
Here is a list of a few important items that each scout will be expected to bring along in his/her backpack:
Stay tuned, there will be more information to follow. In the mean time, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
