The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1585 in Bellingham is our Charter organization and the last Sunday of every month they have a breakfast. Our scouts bus the tables earning tips that provide valuable money for our pack to purchase badges and fund our activities. This monthly service project only requires 3 to 4 scouts to volunteer for clearing tables and resetting place settings. Each participating scout gets a huge breakfast, service project segment, earn money for our pack, learn customer service skills, appreciation for some hard work, and sometimes get to connect and hear cool stories from the patrons. We rotate through the dens to cover September - May/June.

Even though it only seems like a few scouts are needed, the 3 to 4 scouts are providing a huge benefit for the entire pack. The VFW is our charter organization and provides adult leadership and uses the scouts to accomplish its goals for youth. The tips really do help our Pack, plus the scouts benefit by attending.
Cub scouts should invite Parents, family and friends to attend. Breakfast is only $10 each and they can help support our Pack by giving 'tips' and getting a great breakfast.
