Membership in ALA is immediate access and connection with influential library professionals across the country and around the world Becoming a member and participating in the work of the association about library issues shows prospective employers that you are not only invested in your own worklife but that you also bring a wider awareness and activism for the future of libraries.
Student membership are the lowest priced ALA memberships available. Students can join ALA for only $34 a year. For just a dollar more, students can purchase a joint membership in ALA and their local state chapter (DCLA or MDLA) for the low price of $35.
