This is an amazing opportunity for our Pack to raise additional funds to provide our Scouts with quality programs and organization.
Knock on wood, the weather should be beautiful!
A couple of housekeeping items are outlined below:
Arrive at your scheduled time! PLEASE BE ON TIME! This is very important.
If you are unable to complete your shift, please get in touch with me the Fall Fest Food Chair!
Our booth is in the Breidert Green Parking Lot, just east of the Beer Garden.
Wear your Cub Scout Pack 270 Shirt - there are a few extras at the booth if you do not have one.
Jobs at the food booth include taking orders/cashier, calling out complete orders, and being a runner. Upon arriving, we ask that each team decide what task each volunteer will complete. We ask that each shift trains the following shift, which is why the 15-minute overlap is important.
We do take credit cards. We will use the Square App, and a card reader will be available. We will be asking one volunteer to download the app and process the credit cards. There is a $10 minimum for CC purchases. If possible, please download the app ahead of time. The login and password with important login notes can be found in the binder of information. Please have your phone fully charged and ready to take orders!
We will operate in two customer lines. Keep the lines moving!! And move customers if one line becomes too long.
If we run out of a specific food, DO NOT put anything on the menu board. We have displays for the counter where we will display such information.
Sometimes we do receive tips. We will have a jar on the table. Sometimes we run low on smaller bills in the register, and we ask that you make change out of the tip jar, especially at the end of the night.
We are required to be open until 6 p.m., but we will work until we run out of food. For that last shift of the night, we ask that you make sure the area is clean, the coolers are filled, and everything is ready for the next day.
The health department requires:
Gloves to be worn if handling food
Hats or hair net to be worn while in the tent.
No smoking in the food tent
This is during the last shift of the weekend. Dancing Marlin will do the "heavy lifting," but we are asked to help where needed. I will also be there to help and take back all the Pack equipment.
There is a Volunteer Binder, which includes:
My contact information under Contact Info. Call or text me if you have any questions or need assistance during the Fest.
On the front of the binder is a QR Code to Check in to your shift! Don’t forget to do so!
Contact information for ordering Ice will be included. Call the number and charge it to our Fall Fest Account if you need to order.
