Merit Badges
Merit Badges introduce Scouts to sports, crafts, science, trades, business, being a good citizen, and future careers. There are more than 135 merit badges, and any Scout may earn any of these at any time. The First Aid Merit Badge has been earned by more Scouts than any other merit Badge. Bugling is the least earned of all the merit badges.
Troop 87 has never had a bugler, but we have had many trumpet players over the years. It has been our honor to accompany members of Cross Plains American Legion Post 245 on their Memorial Day cemetery visits to honor fallen veterans.
