Save-the-Date: Creekside's 5th Grade Winter Sale - December 10th - 12th
The 5th Grade class will be hosting their Winter Sale December 10th-12th. During the sale, your students will have the opportunity to purchase small gifts for family and friends during their lunch periods. There is something for everyone and items typically range in price from $0.50-$6.00. Kids really love purchasing gifts on their own and this gives them the opportunity to get something for the ones they love. This will be a cash-only sale. Proceeds from this sale benefit the 5th Grade Continuation Party in May.
CCSD Donation Drive
The Cherry Creek and Grandview feeder areas are hosting a Donation Drive to support students and families during the month of November! Students, staff and families will be collecting individually-packaged snacks, shelf-stable items, and toiletries to stock the CCSD school-based community pantries until November 30. Donations can be placed in the large box in Creekside's foyer.

Gently Used Children's Book Donations Needed!
Creekside's PTCO would greatly appreciate donations of gently used children's books for our spring book swap. If you get the chance to clean out your children's bookshelves, please consider donating any unwanted children's books to Creekside's PTCO. A donation drop-off container is located in the front entrance of the school by the PTCO bulletin board.
Spirit Night at Chipotle - November 20th
Join us for a Chipotle Spirit Night on November 20th from 4-8 PM at the Parker location next to Costco. 25% of Spirit Night sales will come back to Creekside! Volunteers Needed: Creekside Fall Festival
Creekside's 3rd Fall Festival is on Friday, Octover 25th from 5:00-7:00pm. We need adult volunteers (parents, grandparents, neighbors, etc) to make sure that the kids have the greatest time possible! I know that everyone wants to enjoy the Festival with their kids as well, but in order to make this event a success we really need some adult volunteers to help out throughout the event.

Save-the-Date: Creekside's Veterans Day Open House - November 12th
Creekside Elementary looks forward to continuing our great tradition of honoring our heroes. We would like to invite our Veterans and current Armed Forces members to our Veterans Day Open House on Thursday, November 12, 2024. During this time, Veterans and current Armed Forces members will have an opportunity to tour our “Heroes Hallway” filled with student writing pieces, visit classrooms, and participate in a “Hero Tribute” at the end of our time together.
We invite all students and staff to wear red, white, and blue on this day.
Our schedule will be:
8:15 - 8:30: Arrive and spend time viewing our Heroes Hallways.
8:30 - 9:00: Visit classrooms. We’d love for you to share elementary-age-appropriate stories about your service and any artifacts such as uniforms, pictures, and medals.
9:00 - 9:15: Enjoy our Hero Tribute. Our students will line the hallways and sing a tribute song as you parade through the school and depart the open house.

Our Creekside Fall Festival will be here before you know it! Each child will receive a few pieces of candy and a glow stick at this fun-filled event.
There are 2 ways you can help with donations.
1. You can help by providing one (or more) bags of nut-free candy. Please drop off all candy at the Creekside Front Office on Thursday, Oct. 24th. (Each bag of candy should contain 75-100 pieces of nut-free candy).

All Creekside community members are invited and there will be fun activities for all ages including face painting, balloon animals, games, a DJ monster mash, and more! Costumes are encouraged!! Parents must accompany their children. This is not a drop-off event. There is a $10 suggested donation per child.

CCSD Mill & Bond Presentation

To recap, on August 12th, the CCSD Board of Education voted unanimously to put a mill and bond measure on the November 5, 2024 ballot for CCSD residents. The proposal includes investments in safety and security, teachers, innovation and career training, student health, technology, and major construction and maintenance projects at schools across the district. For both measures, residents would pay less than $3 a month for each $100,000 of property value.
To provide factual information about the two measures and hear from our community, the district is hosting several presentations. Please see the following information about upcoming presentations:

Save-the-Date: Creekside's Welcome Back Carnival - August 16th
Creekside's Welcome Back Carnival is scheduled for August 16th from 4 - 6 PM. $10 suggested cash donation per child. Entrance into the carnival grants you access to unlimited carnival games, 3 bounce houses, a staff dunk tank, a cupcake walk, temporary tattoos, and prizes!
Food will be available for purchase from Barbed Wire Reef (www.barbedwirereef.com) and Kona Ice.
PLEASE NOTE: All students must have a signed waiver to attend the carnival. Parents MUST Accompany Children. This is NOT a drop-off event.
Kindergarten Kisses & Cheers - August 14th
Kindergarten Parents - Join us on August 14th at 8 am outside on the little playground for Kisses and Cheers. When you arrive, help your child find their teacher. Then join in as we cheer on our children as they walk inside with their teachers for their first day.
After you bid your child farewell for their first day of school, join us from 8:15 – 8:45 am in the courtyard by the kindergarten entrance. Come meet other kindergarten parents and learn how to get involved with the Creekside PTCO!
Teacher Meet & Greet - August 8th
Join us Thursday, August 8th from 4 - 6 PM for our beginning of the year Meet and Greet.

Come meet your teacher, drop off school supplies, visit with the nurse, drop off medication and medical paperwork, learn about after-school programs and volunteer opportunities, and grab a popsicle! This is a great opportunity for students to meet their teachers and connect with other students and families in the Creekside community. We are looking forward to seeing each and every one of you!
