Welcome to Creekside's Parent Teacher Community Organization!

Creekside Elementary
19993 E. Long Avenue
Centennial, CO  80016
Our goals are to enrich the learning experience of our children, energize our community, and support the families, teachers, and administrators that make Creekside Elementary School such a great place. We hope you will come here regularly to find out what’s happening in the Creekside community and how you can participate in our volunteer efforts and fun activities.

Are you interested in having your child learn, or continue learning, Spanish? Spanish Enrichment, Inc. offers Spanish Club to Kindergarten through 5th graders after school at Creekside. The new session starts the week of September 9th. Find more information about the program and how to register by downloading their brochure here. You can also visit www.spanishenrichment.com.

As our students were heading out the door to begin their summer break, construction crews were heading in to renovate our library and computer lab spaces! Elementary schools in our district were each given $500,000 as part of the 2016 Bond and Budget election. This August, students will come back to a reimagined library space with flexible seating, new technologies, and a bright, open-concept layout - along with a classroom dedicated to project-based learning. There is still a lot of work to be done, but here's how things are looking after some demo work:

We've been busy planning our PTCO events for the coming school year and are excited to share the dates for our Back-to-School Carnival, Grandfriends Day, Pumpkin Patch, Scholastic Book Fairs, and much more! Click here to see the dates we already have on our calendar for a fun, new school year!

King Soopers has discontinued their reloadable gift cards for fundraising and has launched a new program to make it easier than ever before to support Creekside. This new program allows you to simply use your registered King Soopers loyalty card to earn funds for Creekside!

Enroll your King Soopers Loyalty Card online at www.kingsoopers.com/communityrewards. Every time you shop at King Soopers using your enrolled King Soopers Loyalty Card, Creekside will earn rewards.

We will be kicking off our first week of school with Creekside’s Back-To-School Carnival, Friday, August 16th! If you know a middle or high schooler who needs volunteer hours, please have them visit our sign-up genius here. Parent volunteers are needed too! See how you can get involved here!

This summer, Box Tops will begin rolling out their new Box Tops labels. Instead of clipping from packages, Box Tops will be earned digitally by scanning your receipt. Over the next few months, you may continue to find products with traditional Box Tops and we hope you will still clip those and send them to school! We hope to have more information about the new program at the start of the new school year, but until then, please save those Box Tops and click here for more details. Thanks!

Help us get ‘new’ books into the hands of EVERY Creekside student to enjoy for their summer reading. We ask that each student bring in at least one, gently used, K-5th grade appropriate book to school May 13th-24th. Each student will then select a ‘new’ book to take home during the Creekside Book Swap, May 28th and 29th. Book collection boxes will be located in the school’s lobby and in the Triangle Room.

Have more than one book to donate? We gladly accept additional books—particularly chapter books—to ensure we have a book for every student. Please, no board books. Leftover books will be offered to teachers for their classroom libraries with any remaining books donated to non-profit organizations within our community. Thanks for your participation!

Parents, join us for Creekside's Field Day, Thursday, May 16th! Have your student come to school with a water bottle, snack, sunscreen on, a sack lunch, and movement- friendly clothing and shoes. We would love your help at various activities throughout the day. Visit the sign-up genius here or download a pdf of the schedule here. Students can show their school spirit by wearing their grade colors (optional): Kindergarten: red, 1st: orange, 2nd: yellow, 3rd: green, 4th: blue, and 5th: purple.

The PTCO is already busy planning our events for next year, but we need your help! These events can not happen without volunteers like you. Join us at our last meeting of the school year, Wednesday, May 15th, at 9am in the cafeteria, to learn more about how you can make a difference, get involved, and help us make next year a great one for our students, their families, and Creekside's teachers and staff.

Dine at Chick-fil-A Southlands anytime on Tuesday, May 14th, and Creekside will receive a percentage! Dine in, carry out, drive-thru, after school, dinner, desserts, catering - it all counts! Just let them know you are there supporting Creekside!
Thanks and see you there!
