Qualifying Information

A limited number of golfers in each division will advance to the 2026 OPTIMIST provided they shoot the minimum qualifying score.

The number of Colorado-Wyoming junior golfers to advance to THE 2026 OPTIMIST is as follows:

    Girls 10 - 12            Age group winner and next seven qualifiers (a total of 8 golfers)

    Girls 13 - 14            Age group winner and next five qualifiers (a total of 6 golfers)

    Girls 15 - 18            Age group winner and next eight qualifiers (a total of 9 golfers)

    Boys 10 - 11            Age group winner and next five qualifiers (a total of 6 golfers)

    Boys 12 - 13            Age group winner and next eight qualifiers (a total of 9 golfers)

    Boys 14 - 15            Age group winner and next ten qualifiers (a total of 11 golfers)

    Boys 16 - 18            Age group winner and next ten qualifiers (a total of 11 golfers)

If a golfer who lives outside the Colorado-Wyoming District qualifies in the District Qualifier, his/her participation will not eliminate a District resident from qualifying.

Financial assistance will be provided by the Colorado-Wyoming Optimist Junior Program for THE 2026 OPTIMIST.  We will provide THE 2026 OPTIMIST registration fee of $ 750 to each of the seven in-district age group winners from the June 2026 District qualifiers.  We will provide $ 500 to the remaining 53 in-district qualifiers from the June 2026 District qualifiers.

There is no guarantee that financial support will be provided to golfers who travel outside their home District in an attempt to qualify for THE 2026 OPTIMIST.
