The Colorado-Wyoming District Optimist Junior Golf Program is totally self-funded.

We sent 55 junior golfers to THE 2024 OPTIMIST and raised over $ 30,000 for that purpose.   We were able to give THE 2024 OPTIMIST registration fee of $ 670 to each of the seven age group winners and $ 500 to the other 48 qualifiers from the 2024 District qualifying events.

With 49 slots for THE 2025 OPTIMIST, we will again need to raise about $ 25,000 to provide the same amount of financial support for the 2025 age group winners and other qualifiers 

Various fundraisers are used to cover expenses for the local qualifying tournaments and for sending junior golfers to THE 2025 OPTIMIST.

As part of our fund-raising activities in 2025, we will hold an adult scramble fundraising tournament on May 28 at Meadow Hills Golf Course in Aurora.  Download the entry form at the bottom of this page for more information.

We also solicit title, hole, banner, and player sponsors for our District junior golf qualifying tournaments at CommonGround, Overland Park, and Meadow Hills golf courses.  Many Colorado-Wyoming District Optimist Clubs, individual Optimists and Friends of Optimists, and their businesses are title, hole, banner, or player sponsors at the qualifying tournaments.  Print the "Sponsorship Opportunities" flyer at the bottom of this page for more information.  (The original flyer is a two-sided tri-fold document, but you'll get the idea after you print the document.)

In addition, we solicit cash and in-kind donations at the annual Colorado Golf Expo, from local golf courses, Optimist clubs and members, junior golf parents, and the general public.
