Fried de Metz Herman's Legacy

Fried de Metz Herman (Nov. 13, 1926- Jan. 13, 2010)
was a founding member & guiding light of
Country Dancers of Westchester.
Long-time dancer, leader, teacher, &
composer of hundreds of wonderful dances.
Fried's spirit will always be among us as we go forward.

On April 11, 2010, Country Dancers of Westchester gathered at St. John's Episcopal Church in Larchmont to celebrate the life of Fried de Metz Herman. Well over 130 people paid homage to her many talents & achievements. Above all, dancers brought to life a program of her inventive choreographies, recalling her exhortation: always strive to dance beautifully--with skill & with heart!
