Corofin Community Text Alert Scheme

The  purpose of the text alert system is to alert members of the public to crime that is happening in the region and to give details of suspect vehicles or persons who may be involved in the commission of crime.

If you notice anything or anyone suspicious in your locality:

  • Report it to Tuam Garda station on (093)70840.
  • Tell them that you are a member of the Corofin text alert scheme.

Gardai will follow up on your call and if further investigation shows the person or vehicle to be of interest an alert containing the relevant details will be sent to everyone on the scheme.

Sample Texts.

Large amount of counterfeit € 50 notes in circulation please look out for 2 males travelling in black XXXX car, report any suspicious activity to your local Gardai"

"A number of burglaries occurred last night in XXX area, a green Ford Mondeo was stolen reg no XXXX, please report any sightings to your local gardai."


Registration is open for the 2017 Corofin Community Text Alert Scheme.

Registrations cost €5.00 per annum and is due annually in March. The will be a registration night held in conjunction with the AGM on 21st March at 8pm in the St Colmans Room.

Registration Forms will be available at the AGM or can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this page. These can be put in an envelope , along with your €5.00 fee and handed into any committee member.
