Troubleshooting

This page has helpful information on what to do if things go wrong. There's also useful information on the "FAQs" page.

Images corrected by CornerFix and then opened using Aperture on Mountain Lion have a green cast.

Mountain Lion's DNG code is broken, I'm afraid. I'd suggest that everybody running into this issue files a bug with Apple.

In the mean time, there is a workaround, which is to override the name in corrected DNGs. See this page for details.

CornerFix fails to start with a message that : “The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect”.

You need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package. See the section on Installation.

CornerFix gives warning messages such as:

"CornerFix doesn't recognize the Bayer pattern" or

"CornerFix doesn't recognize the data format" or

"CornerFix doesn't recognize the pixel format" or

"Unsupported DNG format"

In these cases, you should change the DNG converter settings to "Linear(demosaiced)". This is usually under the Change Preferences->Compatibility->Custom menu, depending on the particular DNG converter version you are using. See the "Converting to DNG" page for more information
