Republic Day Celebration

Republic Day celebration on January 26, 2018 at Periyar Nagar public library kicked off with the hoisting of national flag by Mrs. P. Kaveriammal. It was followed by a pledge of allegiance to the nation administered by the Chief Librarian Mr. K. Venkatesan to the many attendees of the function. Books donated to the library by Mrs. Latha Sampath Kumar, were put up on display.Various activities for children like singing, dancing and public speaking were held followed by prize distribution. The function was presided over by library's mentor Mr. S. Subramanian.
