Anush Venkataraman is one of the select few top scorers of the CBSE 10^th examination for this year. Anush lives in SRP Colony area of Periyar Nagar, Chennai 82 and goes to school at Velammal Vidyashram, Surapet. It was a proud moment for him when he learnt he had scored a perfect 10 in his 10^th exam.

Anush feels that while being attentive in class and reading through textbook chapters several times is important, spending several hours a day studying or attending tuition classes is not. He himself never had to attend any after-school tuition class. Anush credits his teachers at school as being the backbone for his success.

Going to IIT-Chennai for his undergraduate studies and becoming a Petroleum Engineer is Anush’s dream. When not at his studies, Anush can be seen playing street cricket with his friends. He also enjoys playing the keyboard. He appreciates his parents for being supportive in his pursuits. Since each person has a different capability, Anush strongly feels that parents should recognize their child’s interest and encourage him/her in it and not pressurize their children too much to perform.
