Latest Update: 22.09.2023

Hello Chess Friends,

As usual, I'm pleased to announce that,Here are Latest New Similarity Results!For Previous Similarity Results:1 / 2 / 3
Some Notes,Main target of running current similarity test is that:These sim values are useful for future SCCT ratings..Sure depending on cond. but I plan to test the ones,Which are less than 70% or 75% (in similarity each other)Thank you for your understanding! Btw, as alternative,Some of engines are tested by Sim v03 tool as well..Note: in case of Sim v03..there is 7% difference thatMeans, e.g if 75% via Simex2, via Sim v03 = 68%
To Be More Clear, All of tested Top NNUE engines are used theirs Default Evalfiles..that means as NNUE enabled! And so far, many new SF based ones are tested...Exc. some are tested just out of curiosity! e.g oneOf them is Arasan 23.4 engine with av. 42% valuesBy the way, what does it mean ?) If not so clear: Simex v2 or Sim v03 tool rarely makes mistakes!!And once more we noticed that Arasan 23.4 is oneOf most original ones, based mainly on own ideas!
On other hand,If we are going to compare latest ones of 3750 Elo,Then it's clear that exc. the real mother (Stockfish)RapTora seems to be one of most different than all!And not via papers of course... but with real facts!Same words are going for many other engines too!
Of course, I admit also that there are some engines,Which are almost identical or very close in similarity,And in playing style...due to based on same source!
Btw, exception Arasan 23.4 plus as another references:Polyfish 210623 and SF-PB 190623 are re-tested again...Besides, I tested both RapTora 2.2 vers. (by Antonio Ces Plus compiled by Eduard Nemeth) and again close to 92%As we see, mostly numbers are not fixed..but quite normal..In same time that means even 500 openings are enough!Because in previous test is used 1000 openings: ResultsSure based on my other Test if more Time + Threads, thenThe similarities are going higher, for example close to 87%
Note also that (for anyone missed, interested...),Previous posting over M.Z (SugaR's author) 'here'
Btw, here are the latest new similarity test results:(Note: Lower similarity percentage values are better..)
