Welcome

I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of Hong Kong.

I received my Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of La Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris, France). In addition to my Ph.D., I hold a Master’s Degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language. Before joining the HKU Business School, I taught at several institutions across the world: the University of La Sorbonne in Paris (France), Pepperdine University in Lausanne (Switzerland), the University of New South Wales in Sydney (Australia), and Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN (USA), where I was an Associate Professor (with tenure) in French and Comparative Literature.

Drawing upon my experience in the publishing industry, my teaching interests include translation and creative writing, as well as professional communication, which I have taught in several Executive Education programs. In Indiana, I also acted as an intercultural consultant to French executives new to the area.

My research in Comparative Literature explores imaginative fiction through the lens of postmodernism and translation theories. I notably published articles in @nalyses, in the Colloque de Cerisy series, and in the Oxford journal Literary Imagination. I also published a monograph entitled Stephen King as a Postmodern Author at Peter Lang Publishing (2013).
