J-CLIL

Japan CLIL Pedagogy Association (J-CLIL) (English)

We, J-CLIL members, established Japan CLIL Pedagogy Association in April 2017 in order to achieve the initial target attainment: To study and promote practices for the implementation of integrated education called CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) or CBLT (Content-based Language Teaching).

Japan EMI Research Project

The Japan EMI Research Project is an initiative undertaken by faculty members from The University of Niigata Prefecture to track the growth of English Medium Instruction (EMI) at undergraduate universities in Japan and explore the implications of that growth for language teachers.

Integrating Content and Language in Higher Education (ICLHE)

The ICLHE is the association for expertise, networking and resources in the integration of content and language in higher education.

ConCLIL (2011-2014)

Language and Content Integration: towards a conceptual framework

This project was concerned with content and language integrated learning (CLIL), an educational approach in which a language other than students’ mother tongue is used as the language of instruction. The main objective of the project was to work towards a conceptual framework of CLIL by research-based problematization of its central notions language and content and especially that of their integration.
