Dr. Kyle Barrett
Research Interests
I am broadly interested in the environmental and biological factors that set the diversity, distribution, and abundance of organisms (ecology!). Most of my work focuses on how large scale stressors such as urbanization and climate change affect animals. Most recently I've explored how stream-dwelling species respond to watershed development, approaches to finding and sampling rare species, and how to do long-range conservation planning for amphibians and reptiles in the face of climate change and development.
I'm excited to work with students who share my interests; however, I'm also eager to explore new avenues of research. Currently all of the available Research Assistantships in my lab are filled. When a new position becomes available I will post an announcement to the lab's homepage.
