Sorry for the delay in responding. I have been away in Bali playing golf. Unfortunately I will be unable to attend this year as my sister is visiting from the US at that time. just for a few days, so I will be a bit tied up. I am sure it will be a great night as usual. Enjoy
David Piele
I have had some surgery this week which will unfortunately preclude me from attending the reunion. Very disappointed but unavoidable. Hope that you have good attendance and great night.
David Jay
We are off to the Maldives and Sri Lanka in October this year and next year in Sept/Oct we hope to go to Europe to Norway (boat trip up the fiords to well inside the arctic circle hoping to see many things but in particular the "northern Lights") . Will combine this with some walking exploring in Greece and Croatia . Still just planning this but would really like to make sure I get to the dinner next year so if you do discuss with Peter that would be good
Felix Blatt
Sorry, I won't make it to the reunion this year. Please pass on my regards to all. Cheers
Gary Edwards
I won't be able to make it this year for two reasons. Each year my wife and I go to Merimbula for two weeks. We always go the last week in October and first week in November. The reunion often coincides on the Friday night of the weekend when we head off to Merimbula on the Sunday. This year the place we stay at has changed ownership and our booking has been altered to the week before i.e. the 23rd Oct to 7th Nov. I got confirmation of this last week but I have put a number of things on hold as we have been down and back a number of times from Benalla to Melb. in the past 3 weeks as my 101-year-old father has been diagnosed with a return of melanoma to his scalp and we have been visiting various hospitals -- the Alfred's Melanoma clinic -- to determine and organize treatment. We are the principal carers and the holiday may be in doubt if I hear this week about the treatment details requiring us to transport him if our daughter can't do this while we are not here.
Again I am sorry that I will be missing this year as you know I am pretty much a "regular " and enjoy and value the get-togethers. On the personal level we are kept busy for the reasons I have outlined above plus looking after dad's house in Burwood as he only went into care last Xmas. Travel also to Shepparton and Melbourne to visit grandchildren and I still do some work occasionally for my son, who is also a Civil Eng. graduate from Melb Uni. who has his own business.
I'm sure you will all have a great night and I hope to get there next year,
PS. please tell Pete Balfe and Bob Vickers I can't drive them home this time..
Gordon Alderson
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this year's reunion. All the very best of good health and good fortune to everyone. I look forward to being with you all in 2017.
Ian Rankine
Regret l won't be able to attend. Hope the evening goes well.
John Davies
Thank you for the invitation. Sorry but I will not be able to make it. Could you please pass on my greetings to all and my apologies?
John Smith
I will miss this year's, but keen to attend next year for 50th if in good health. Best wishes for this year and my regards to the old team.
John Franklin
Thanks for the invitation. I will be unable to go as we are heading off on a holiday on that very day. As my in-attendance over the many years has indicated a "lack of interest" in the reunion I will probably go to my grave without ever getting to one. However, I cannot help being impressed by the enthusiasm of the core group of Class of ‘67ers that have continued this process over all these years. If I had got into the habit of attending from the start I might have been drawn along. As it is I am a long-term absentee, but have on occasion heard from attendees about the success of the evening. I therefore wish you a great evening.
If anyone is interested (and it seems in past years my comments have made it to the floor), I continue to enjoy retirement and all that goes with it, particularly the time to enjoy grandchildren, time involved in volunteer work and some limited travel around Australia in our camper van. Life down here in Blairgowrie is peaceful (at least during most of year, with the exception of the summer holidays), healthy and enjoyable.
Best wishes to you and the rest of the Class of ’67. 2017 looms as a special year, I suspect. Lucky you got this year to organise as the 50-year event could be BIG.
Murray Cullinan
As I mentioned I will not be able to attend the reunion this year. I'm rather disappointed I cannot make it given you are organising. Could you please give my apologies, and pass on that I have formally retired from the Victorian Public Service but am helping out as a consultant part time.
Peter Lechte
Sorry, I won’t be able to make this... Hope the reunion night goes well this year and you get to swap a lot of memories, for we are all getting a bit long in the tooth!
Peter Seyler
Unfortunately, once again, I cannot make it as I am still in Indonesia. Please give my best regards to all.
Peter Walker
I will not be with you again this year (becoming a bit of a habit I'm afraid), but best wishes from me to you, and please pass on my regards to anyone who remembers me.
Renzo Negrelli
Just to let you know that I am unable to attend. Best regards to all.
Geoff Rees
I have been trying to clear things so I could attend this year's function but I have several commitments in Sydney that are preventing it. So I now must apologise for non attendance but I will be very keen to attend next year if that is to be held.
Thank you very much for your efforts in organising the event which once again is a great event after all these years.
Ted Gallagher
Unfortunately I have to pull out of this year’s dinner. My mother-in-law died yesterday (9 November) and a wake has been organised for the same evening. Hope you all have a great dinner with lots of reminiscing.
Phillip McDonald
Regret that will be an apology for this function. Hope it goes well. I have been retired for nearly 3 years & enjoying life. Spend lots of time with children & grandkids. Now live in Doncaster East in an apartment. Have had some health issues but OK now.
Hope all is well with you.
