Currently, CPI offers 4 Engineering & Technology programmes as follows;

ELECTRICAL POWER ENGINEERING

BACKGROUND

The Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering program empowers students with the fundamentals of installation and deployment of electrical power systems while presenting the challenges of expanding these systems in East Africa and the developing world in general.

On the other hand the certificate programme trains students on practical electronics and electrical systems to enable them support in any electrical installation, maintenance and repair projects.

TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

BACKGROUND

The Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering program uses a more traditional approach to develop an understanding of the theory and practice involved in the design and utilization of Computer and Telecommunications Networks and Systems.

The certificate programme trains students on practical electronics and electrical systems to enable them support in any telecommunications installation, maintenance and repair projects.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

BACKGROUND

The Information Technology programme teaches students the principles and skills of managing and utilizing computer networks and systems. Information Technology is dynamic in order to be at the fore front in re-shaping technologically the business information development practices.

This Diploma in Information Technology has been designed to deepen and broaden the students' knowledge and skills in Information Technology and equip them with scientific and technical skills in preparation for the labour market as well as for further studies at degree level.

The certificate programme trains students on practical computer technology and ICT skills to enable them support in any ICT installation, maintenance, support and repair projects.

The aim of this course is to assist in achieving the manpower requirements of business industry in public and private sectors of the economy in the areas of computer programming, software technological support, management, Multimedia, internet and web site development, just to mention but a few.

COMPUTER ENGINEERING

BACKGROUND

The Diploma in Computer Engineering program uses relies on the understanding of the theory of electronic systems to study the design and implementation of Computer Systems and Networks.

The certificate programme trains students on practical computer networking to enable them support in any computer systems installation, maintenance and administration projects.
