Jazz Ensemble

The CHS Jazz Ensemble is made up of our advanced jazz musicians. In this group we learn music theory, how to improvise, and perform at concerts and events. Students should already demonstrate fundamental technique on their instruments, which develops into advanced ensemble balance and style. Students will perform around the community as well as at various festivals during the spring semester. The Jazz Ensemble meets during 5th period and is an audition only group. 

Jazz 2 is open to any members and meets twice a week after school during the second semester. We learn the fundamentals of jazz performance and improvisation in order to audition for Jazz Ensemble.
