MArching Band

The Gold Star Brigade is our marching band. Members of the Brigade learn to cooperate with one another to combine high levels of musicality, visual precision, and showmanship to produce quality performances throughout the community. This ensemble is open to any student who wishes to join and passes the post-band camp audition. Participation in the marching band is not required to be a member of the Canyon Instrumental Music Program.

Band camp takes place in the summer to prepare students for the rigorous season. They will learn marching technique, musical exercises, conditioning, marching formations, choreography, leadership, and teamwork. Please check the documents section under resources and find "New Member Information Packet" to verify the band camp schedule and plan vacations around it.

The Gold Star Brigade meets during 0 period; before school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; and Thursday evening 6pm-9. Colorguard and Drum Line have afternoon sectionals determined by their staff.
