Jinkee Choi is a Korean-born, New York-based sculpture artist. Small found objects are his primary materials, which he deforms into strange figures inspired by illusions from daily life. By using the conflict of meaning between objects and hallucinations, he explores how our subconscious world strikes us and how much dominates our real world. Then we also can read social stereotype and individual desires through the sweetly poignant transfiguring.
