Fiona Crosland has been working in childcare since 2008 and during that time has worked as a childminder in the home setting but now has expanded to two Out of School Clubs based in Birkby and Bradley. Between 2009 and 2016, Fiona undertook training and study to Honours Degree level in Early Years – a qualification very relevant to the childcare sector.

In February 2017, Crosland Childcare Ltd was established to allow for expansion of the childcare provision available to parents both in the Salendine Nook (as a childminder) and Birkby areas. Crosland Childcare Ltd now encompasses childcare in two school premises offering breakfast and after school club in St Thomas CE Primary School in Bradley and after school club in St Patrick's Catholic Primary School in Birkby. The childcare provided is for children from Reception/Foundation class to Year 6 who attend either of those schools.
