As an alumnus of the University of Houston, I am shocked by the recent incidents on campus. As a father of four and an educator, I want to remind people, please give a hand to your friends, neighbors, and colleagues. Even a smile or a brief greeting can surprisingly inspire a person. If you need help, please don’t hesitate to seek professional consulting. At schools or companies, they all have resources to help you embrace your stress or depression. This is the moment we have to be brave to face this problem in our nation. Social media, internet hoaxes, bullies, etc., have heavily affected our lives, especially teenagers facing a more complicated society than our generation. We have to remind our children that in-person interaction is much healthier than photos, pictures, and short videos on the internet.
Keep our pure hearts. This will result in good results. Be kind to people around you. Life is good. Let’s embrace the love around us, make our society better, and make our nation the best.
