Follow these principles for designing a document that is visually appealing and allows for quick access of important information.
Use headings to set off the main parts and subsections of your report.
Use subheadings or other typography to set off key ideas (information that is priority, i.e., what you don't want your reader to miss).
Check for heading and subheading typographical consistency. Using the styles set in the template (or creating your own) will help maintain consistency throughout the report.
Indent paragraphs.
Space between paragraphs.
Use a serif font for the report: Times, Times New Roman, Palatino, or Cambria. (The template uses Bitter.)
