The summary should be the last section of the report you write; it must stand alone and should not exceed 1-1/2 pages in length. The summary briefly answers questions each reader will need you to answer: What is this document? Why am I receiving it? What am I supposed to do with it or with the information it gives me?
For CHEN 414 or 433, your summary must
identify the specific goal(s) of the laboratory work,
provide a brief summary of the procedures used, and
state results and your analysis of them as they pertain to the reader.
When describing what you accomplished, use past tense verbs.
