A past topic of interest for many in the area, was legislation that that would appear to remove most aspects of local control of sand and gravel mining operations. The bill, SB 431, was not formally scheduled for consideration as of Nov 17, 2020 but, was expected to occur during the legislature’s lame duck session of 2020. There was apparently time to provide our opinions on this issue to Representative Lasinski and Senator Theis, and others, as appropriate. This information is preserved and archived for historical purposes.
