Chase Meadow Cares
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic Chase Meadow residents assisted, supported and encouraged each other. In July 2021 we invited residents to say thank you to a neighbour that had helped them out, lifted their spirit or just brightened their day. Below is the fabulous response we got reminds us of how fortunate we are to have such wonderful neighbours on Chase Meadow.
A heartfelt “thank you” for all the support, kindness and friendship of my dear neighbours and friends during these unprecedented times.
> Being here for me when I sadly lost my beautiful Granny of 96 years of age.x.
> Helping to care for me when I was so unwell for 3 weeks. Cooking, shopping and the most amazing jar of honey for medicinal purposes.
> Mending my toilet and fitting a replacement bulb in my car.
> Fabulous fruit and vegetables from their allotment.
> Lending me a paint roller so my friend and their son could help me to get the job done.
> Being able to walk my friends dog during week days, so that I could have an enjoyable break from my working day.
> Hot water bottle and bed socks when my heating broke down during the freezing snow weather. The ‘Walking for Health’ group volunteers commitment and dedication as and when lock down permitted.
> Being able to continue with Community Gardening on Chase Meadow.
> I will never forget how unselfishly my neighbours gave me a box of eggs - that had been delivered from their milkman - when you just could not get any in the shops - I was unwell and at the time that is all I wanted to eat:
>The beautiful wishing tree and book exchange box, so very thoughtful.
