Closest To The Pin (CTTP) competition is simple. Whoever is closest to the cup (flag) on the designated hole is the winner. The ball must be on the green’s putting surface to be recorded.
Here is how it works;
· Use the same tees you are using for the Bramble/Scramble. Your tee shot must come to rest on the Green’s putting surface (not on the fringe or beyond) to be measured.
· To measure, remove the flag and place the CTTP box into the hole. This is done by placing the round flange on the bottom of the box into the hole. Hook the tape measure over the screw marked "Hook Tape Here" and measure to the front of the ball.
· A score pad, pencil/pin and tape measure are provided to measure and record your shot.
· You only record shots that are shorter than the shortest shot on the score pad. If no one is listed then record your shot.
· Remember for Saturday’s Mixed Scrambles there are two winners (Men/Women).
· The group coordinator will provide the first foursome with the CTTP marker. The first foursome will place the marker at the designated hole. The scoreboard should be placed toward the back of the green on the fringe so it will not interfere with future tee shots.
· The last foursome will pick up the marker with the score pad, pencil and tape measure and return it to the group coordinator.
· The winner(s) gets the pot and will be announced at the social.
· You are not required to be present to win.
Special Rules;
· For 3 player teams, the player playing two balls will only count their first drive.
· If no one wins the pot(s) then the money is used to buy the drinks at the social.
