September 29--Triangle Char & Bar

This Thursday we're running to Triangle Char & Bar in Avondale! This hip restaurant and bar not only serves up some tasty burgers, but they're also dedicated to the local community. They seek out locally sourced ingredients, host a drop site for Hudson Family Farm's local CSA program, and support many great charities and runs.

The kind folks at Triangle have extended their Happy Hour deal of $1 off all draft beer for us! They also offer $12 buckets of 16 oz. Bud/Bud Light aluminum bottles.

As long as the weather holds out, this route should have many opportunities to catch a beautiful Charleston sunset over the Ashley River! Great photo spots will be at Brittlebank Park and the Ashley River Bridge.

Our Route:

From the gazebo, we'll take a left and run around the park. Take a right at the Citadel and pick up Elmwood Ave. Right on Huger, left on Hagood (run next to the Citadel stadium), then right on Fishburne (run next to the Joe Riley stadium and pick up the Brittlebank Park path). Take Fishburne all the way around until it turns into Lockwood. Turn right at the Ashley River Bridge and run across the bridge. Stick to the right! You'll follow signs to pick up Hwy 61. Take your first left after the bridge at Wesley Drive (at the crosswalk), then a right on Savannah Hwy/17. Right on Magnolia and the bar will be on the left! (~3.8 mi).

*This route runs across the Ashley River bridge which is a narrow sidewalk. Please run single file across the bridge and be careful.*
