October 5--The Brick

Post date: Oct 2, 2017 2:45:20 AM

This Thursday we're running to The Brick, Charleston's Favorite Tavern! 4 years after the infamous East Bay Fire of 2013, The Brick's doors have re-opened and we're running right through them! Those of you familiar with the original establishment will be delighted to find the original wooden bar restored and in its new home, along with a few familiar faces; those of you new to The Brick will find an original Charleston gem that'll keep you coming back over and over again!

Our friends at The Brick are excited to host us and they're hooking CBR up with some great specials! In addition to their $10 Burger and Pint night on Thursdays, they'll have CBR only specials on pitchers of Bud Light and select bucket specials. Just let the friendly staff know you're with CBR so they can get you the hook-up!

Our Route:

From the gazebo, run a loop all the way around the park then head out Cleveland St. Right on Rutledge (if you want to add a hill to this run, from Rutledge, take a left on Fishburne--at the playground/basketball courts just before the Crosstown--to run around the playground and up the pedestrian bridge, once you get to the other side head back to Rutledge). Left on Radcliffe, cross King then slight left and continue straight onto Ann St., and the bar will be on our left! (~2.7 mi/2.9 mi with the pedestrian bridge)

Want a shorter route?

(~1.7 mi/1.9 mi with the pedestrian bridge) From the gazebo head straight out the park, right on Rutledge, the rest of the route is unchanged.

Water Fountains:

Hampton Park: gazebo (start) & lake

Remember to bring your ID and some money for the bar!

It's getting dark out there, so please wear something bright and reflective! Flashing lights are a great and easy way to be seen by traffic. Also, the bugs are still biting, so don't forget the bug spray!
