Has it really been 3 years? Time flies when you're running and having fun! Come on out and celebrate 3 years of running and drinking beer in Charleston--we're turning 3 and we want y'all at our party! We're celebrating this momentous moments of occasions by running to one of our hood favs, Palmetto Brewing Co.! Our friends at Palmetto are so excited to watch us grow older and wiser that they're hooking us up with $4 select drafts! Join our FB event to find out what the special drafts will be!

Pep Rolls is gettin' in on the Birthday action and they'll be slinging their delicious Pep Rolls out of their truck! šŸ˜‹

Also, a birthday celebration isn't complete without...cake! So, in CBR tradition, we'll have a very special B-day cake, and we're dedicating our cake to YOU--every Charleston Beer Runner who makes this running club fun and special! CBR wouldn't be anything without each and every one of you, and we want to thank you for coming out and running every Thursday! This year, our cake is being made by our very own CBR lady Eryn, so get ready for some weird CBR cake stuff to go down!

In case you haven't heard, Palmetto will be going through some courtyard renovations at the time of our celebration--don't worry, we've got a special place in their hearts, and their warehouse (aka old brew house)! So, although this has been a dog-friendly run in the past, this time it will have to be humans only. Also, parking at the brewery will be a little different--parking will be right beside Palmetto's building (not in back), close to the front of the building.

Finally, CBR shirt orders will be open at this time (the form will be available online as always), but we'll also have additional CBR swag for sale at this run: Beer Runners DVDs, CBR pint glasses, koozies and extra shirts for sale (cash/credit/venmo).

Our Route:

From the gazebo, we'll take a right and run around the park. Left on 10th, then left on Dunnemann and run the Dunnemann loop (follow the road around the plantation--right on 5th, right on St. Margaret, left on 6th--then right on Gordon) all the way back to 10th. Left on 10th, then turn at all the "T's" till Rutledge--left, right then right. (Left on Alberta, right on Devereaux, right on Peachtree.) Right on Rutledge, left on Huger and the bar will be on our right! (~3.8 mi)

Want a shorter route?

(~2.9 mi) Once on 10th, cut out the Dunnemann Loop and head straight up 10th St to Alberta, the rest of the route is unchanged.

(~1.7 mi) From the gazebo, run the loop around the park then head to Rutledge via Cleveland. Right on Rutledge, the rest of the route is unchanged.

(~0.7 mi) From the gazebo, head straight to Rutledge via Cleveland. Right on Rutledge, and the rest of the route is unchanged.

Water Fountains:

Hampton Park: gazebo (start) & lake

Remember to bring your ID and some money for the bar!

It's getting dark out there, so please wear something bright and reflective! Flashing lights are a great and easy way to be seen by traffic. Also, the bugs are still biting, so don't forget the bug spray!
