Drainage

This page summarises where we are with issues which have arisen following surveys of the drains at Chancellors Hall.

Update January 2019

• We understand that the work has been completed

Update at 15th December 2016

• We are still working on an issue at the evens end of Hampshire Drive, where a drain needs a major repair. This is chargeable to the Chancellors Hall service charge so needs to be done properly and have a long lifetime
• Severn Trent continue to cancel surface water drainage charges to residents, including several of the 'odds'

At the quarterly meeting of members on 14th April, 2015, John Worwood reported as follows:-

• The recent partial drainage survey carried out by All Drains Solutions has provided sufficient information to enable Severn Trent to cancel the surface water drainage charges for the 'evens' no.s 14 - 28 Hampshire Drive, on the basis of an application made in respect of 26 Hampshire Drive (to be confirmed in writing by Severn Trent).
• In the absence of historic records for Chancellors Hall, Severn Trent indicated that there was not enough information in the All Drains Solution survey to enable the other properties on Chancellors Hall to be exempted.

Calthorpe Estates have indicated at our meetings with them and Mainstay, that they have a 'rolling programme of drain surveys', so they will be asked at the next meeting, if they will be completing the survey to provide a complete drawing of the Chancellors Hall Drainage system so that all residents can apply for this exemption. This was discussed on 28th April 2015 and a response from CE is expected in due course.

Work to correct ponding outside 4-10 Hampshire Drive was completed on 26th May 2015
