Support Drama at Chaminade High School!

The Chaminade Players make up one of the largest and most active student clubs on campus.

The group includes the actors who take the stage and the technicians who work behind the scenes to bring each production to life. It is not uncommon for actors to also hold one or more crew positions.

Crew members work along side adult supervisors -- including experts from the Los Angeles theatre community -- to learn various forms of stagecraft, including lighting, set design, construction, hair & makeup, costuming and sound.

Over time, students can work their way up on a crew, earning the position of "crew head"

Student leaders serve on the Drama Board, which works with Ms. Yvette L. Bishop, Drama Director to  govern the club. Elections for Drama Board are held annually at the end of the school year for the following year.

In addition to producing full-scale plays and musicals, the club participates in DTASC festivals, the Jerry Herman Awards,  hosts an annual retreat and a banquet for students and their parents.

The new Drama Board is announced at the end-of-the-year banquet.
