Kun-Chih (Jimmy) Chen received the PhD degree from Nation Taiwan University, Taiwan (NTU), in Graduate Institute of Electronics Engineering (GIEE) in 2013. From October 2014 to January 2015, he serves as a postdoctoral fellow in Intel-NTU Connected Context Computing Center working on the development of Green Sensing Platform for Internet of Things (IoTs), Reliable Thermoelectric Converter, and Power-aware Software Defined Network (SDN). From February 2015 to July 2016, Dr. Chen joined the faculty of Electronic Engineering Department of Feng Chia University. From August 2016 to January 2023, he joined the faculty of Computer Science and Engineering Department of National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU). He was elected as the Distinguished Junior Research Professorship at NSYSU in 2022. He is currently an Associate Professor of Institute at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYSU). His research interests include Multiprocessor SoC (MPSoC) design, Neural network learning algorithm design, Reliable system design, VLSI/CAD design, and Smart manufacturing.

Dr. Chen served as a reviewer for many international journals and international conferences, such as ACM Transactions on Design Automation of Electronic Systems (TODAES), IEEE Design and Test, IEEE Transactions on Computers (TC), IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems (TPDS), IET Computers & Digital Techniques (CDT), IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Circuits and System (JETCAS), Asia Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association (APSIPA), IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP), IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), International Conference on Hardware/Software Codesign and System Synthesis (CODES+ISSS), IEEE Workshop on Signal Processing Systems (SiPS), International Symposium on VLSI Design, Automation and Test (VLSI-DAT). Dr. Chen also served on the technical program committees of some major IEEE International Conferences, such as IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics - Taiwan (ICCE-TW) and IEEE Workshop on Signal Processing Systems (SiPS). Currently, Dr. Chen is invited to be the Editorial Board Member of Journal of Electrical Engineering. Dr. Chen is invited to be the Guest Editor of Journal of Systems Architecture (JSA), Nano Communication Network (NanoComNet), and IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Circuits and Systems (JETCAS); the Editorial Board Member of Journal of Electrical Engineering. Besides, he serves as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) chair of the International Workshop on Network on Chip Architectures (NoCArc), 2018 and the General Chair of the same workshop in 2019.

Dr. Chen received the Best Paper Award of 2014 International Symposium on VLSI Design, Automation and Test (VLSI-DAT'14), Best Paper Award of 2016 International Joint Conference on Convergence (IJCC'16), PhD Dissertation Award of IEEE Taipei Section, TCUS Young Scholar Innovation Distinction Award, Best Student Paper Award of IEEE ISCAS, IEEE Tainan Section Best Young Professional Member Award, Exploration Research Award of Pan Wen Yuan Foundation, Taiwan IC Design Society Outstanding Young Scholar Award, Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering (CIEE) Outstanding Youth Electrical Engineer Award, and Asia Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association (APSIPA) Distinguished Lecturer. Besides, he was also invited to publish two book chapters, published by Springer and Elsevier, in 2013 and 2021. He is an IEEE senior member, ACM member, life member of Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering (CIEE), Asia-Pacific of Signal and Information Processing Association (APSIPA), and Taiwan IC Design Society (TICD).
