This is a series of sermons on the book of Ruth preached, by Rev Justin Smidstra, on Sundays' worship when he was in Singapore from mid May 2021 to end August 2021 for pulpit supply. This was during the period of COVID-19 pandemic.

The book of Ruth is a beautiful and heart warming book of the Old Testament. A book that focus on the ordinary life of ordinary old testament saints. It set before us hard afflictions that the family of Naomi and Elimelech experienced. It shows us how God uses the hardship of life to work for the good of His people. The book sets before us the faithfulness of Jehovah during the times of Judges; a dark period in the history of Israel where the people of Israel forsook Jehovah God and turned to idolatry. The book of Ruth shows us the covenant faithfulness of God in fulfilling His purposes and His promises during this dark period of Israel. God be praised for His unfailing covenant faithfulness in the salvation of His people.
