Community Garden Rebuild — Status: Planning work ongoing. Future work: work bees, planting, harvesting. Benefits: Encourages healthy eating, environmental awareness, social bonds. 50-80 volunteers/participants. Facilitated by Community League.
Park Enhancements & Projects — Status: Year-round, Purple Park. Volunteer maintenance, improvements (including basketball court redo at John A. McDougall School). Benefits: Safe green space for recreation/mental health; broad public access, community wide beneficiaries. Facilitated by Community League.
Temporary Rink — Festive gathering for free skating. Benefits: Combats winter isolation and inactivity, builds joy/family participation. Facilitated by Community League.
