We plan to add Wind and Solar power to each boat. To augment Power and have backup emergency power if it is ever needed. Out at Sea there is lots of wind and sun, lets use it.
Wind Power:
What does the Wind Power run in case of emergency?
1 Motor & Minimal Bridge Functions
Water & Sewer
Minimal lights, cooking and 1 main freezer
The Wind system is a lot more powerful than the Solar backup and will allow the boat to augment its diesel consumption with the powerful winds at Sea. We may be able to cut fuel costs by running one motor on wind power alone. 100 poles, 60,000 watts of power. I bet we save money this way.
Solar:
What does the Solar run in case of emergency?
Communications both on board and SOS
Minimal Bridge Functions
Water & Sewer
With almost unlimited sun power, we must harvest it, use it, store it and augment any system possible, to use it.
Imagine EVERY Wind Vane pumping 600 watts into a Tesla battery bank to use and store for an emergency. 100 units is 60,000 continuous watts of power. Poles will be there, let's use them.
It can be as simple as what you see on the left to capture the wind around the Vessel. We need a durable system that wont break in gale force winds. So far we have found very few models that look durable enough for Sea and may need to work with a company who can make a design worthy enough so others may employ them too.
Solar is installed upon any flat space, the bow, the aft restaurant, the options are limitless?
As "Endless" Balconies are added these panes are included in the addition, each generates 100w
The glass in the solarium roof are to be replaced with similar solar additions..
Solar and wind power are 100% possible and 100kw off these systems is obtainable. That is enough to run all systems without consuming much fuel and all systems in an emergency. Move aside LNG gas, the future of sailing is Solar, Wind and yes On-Demand Hydrogen; and you think we will follow the best, the best will follow us.
