Cédric Clévy graduated from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, France in 2001 received his Master degree of Mechanical engineering, Automatics and Automation in 2002, his Ph. D. degree in Automatic Control and computer Sciences in 2005 and his habilitation to supervise PhD thesis in 2015. In 2006, he became an Associate Professor at the University of Franche-Comté, Besançon, France working in the AS2M (Automatic Control and MicroMechatronic Systems) department of FEMTO-ST Institute.
Since 2021, he is a Professor (CNU 61) at the University of Franche-Comté, Besançon, France. He is currently the deputy head of the AS2M department at the FEMTO-ST Institute and member of the ROBIMSS research team. His research interests are the design, modeling and control of novel robotic architectures and systems based on smart materials for the characterization, manipulation and assembly at micro and nanoscales.
Cédric Clévy is currently member of the scientific council of national Robotics Group of Research from the CNRS - National Research Center (website here). He is currently serving as Senior Editor for IEEE/ASME Trans. On Mechatronics and is also an active member of the IEEE/RAS technical committee for "Micro/Nano Robotics and Automation" (website here). He is also the principal investigator of the national project Dynabot and the scientific responsible for the robotic pilot line within the RAIDO European Project.
