Guardianship

If you're interested in learning about different types of guardianship for your student with a disability, please review this information from the Arc of Northern Virginia.

Please plan to begin the guardianship legal process when your student is about 16 years old. It's important to have guardianship in place before your student with a disability turns 18 years old, if possible.
