The Chancellor House

The Chancellor House is the oldest existing house in Martinsville, located on the National Road, York & Palestine Trail, and adjacent to the 1834 Martinsville City Graveyard. The City Graveyard was the site of the first Methodist Church in the area and for a short time the first public school.  The Clark County Historical Society purchased the house in 2023 and has completed a large restoration and a renovation project. 

The house is now open :

Saturdays from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
